Two Heroes Sets are on sale at once, and only one prize card in nine is ND legal

Duel Masters PLAY'S currently has two separate Heroes Sets running side by side — the original Duelist's Summer Holiday and its second volume, both reruns. Between them they offer nine prize cards. Eight are barred from New Division.

Both cost 1,500 gems. Both carry purchase caps that count purchases you made in previous years. The official account has been revealing their contents a few posts at a time since 18 August.

What a Heroes Set is

A paid bundle, gem-only, not obtainable through play. One set contains five packs of a card set, one random prize card, and one skin chip. Four chips exchange for one character skin. Prize cards are alternate-art printings featuring PLAY'S characters; skins change your avatar, add a Shield Trigger cut-in, and give the character a voiced presence on the home screen.

The official page spells this last card two ways in the same notice — 恵みの大地 in the prize list and 恵の大地 in the restriction line. Both refer to the same card.

The restriction, and why it exists

This is not a ban. Prize cards are alternate printings of cards from older sets, and New Division only holds recent ones — so a reprint of something outside that window stays outside it. Spell Cyclica is the exception because its original printing is recent enough to still be in rotation.

Worth knowing before spending, because the restriction sits as a footnote beneath the prize card list and does not appear on the purchase screen.

The purchase caps carry over

Both sets count purchases from their previous runs. The official notices give worked examples: if you bought Volume 1 once during the 2025 run, you have 15 of 16 remaining now. Same structure for Volume 2 — one purchase then leaves 19 of 20.

So a returning player who bought into these sets in previous years has fewer chances at the prize cards this time, not a fresh allocation.

Skins, and the reveal schedule

The official account posted the four Volume 1 skins on 18–19 August, each with its voice actor and a line of dialogue, under the tag #ヒーローズセット. Volume 2's prize cards were posted over the same period under the same tag — which is worth flagging, because the tag alone does not tell you which of the two sets a post belongs to.
