The art line that was printing Magic cards has turned to PLAY'S

Two more sets went up for pre-order on the evening of 30 October. Both are built on — the digital game — where the first two in the line were built on Magic: The Gathering.

Five cards in each, and every card is listed with a PLAY’S character beside it. Pre-orders close on 1 December.

What was announced

Kami Art Kizuna — — is the collaboration half of Takara Tomy’s premium art line. The Mall’s own description of the line splits it in two: — for Duel Masters’ own world, for work with something else. This site covered the first two, and described the line then as made-to-order product with new artwork on existing cards, sold direct rather than through shops.

Five cards, where the Magic sets were seven — this site recorded those as Seven cards per set, fixed. The listings say — one of each, all foil. Price is unchanged at 7,700 yen. Nothing published explains the difference, and this page does not offer one.

What this page is not telling you

Three gaps, named rather than filled Whether these ten cards already exist on paper is not established here. The listings do not say, and the official card search could not be made to answer it. Driven through its own search box it reported for one of these names — and also for , a name the publisher’s own tournament post for this week lists as one of the most-entered Original-format decks, with the database reporting unfiltered either side of both searches. So the zeroes are the search failing, not an answer, and no claim here rests on them.

Corrected 31 October, within minutes of publishing. That paragraph first said the control was “a card that certainly exists on paper”. What is certain is that a deck of that name is on the publisher’s list; the card was never looked up, which is the whole problem being described.

No readings are given for the Japanese names. The names are copied from the listings exactly. The listings do not give readings, and this site does not invent them.

No card text, costs or powers. Those are legible only from the product images, which carry — development images, subject to change. They are not read off here.

For English speakers

You cannot buy this Takara Tomy Mall ships within Japan, and made to order means there is no supply after the window closes on 1 December. At 7,700 yen for five cards this is a collector’s product, not a way to get playable cards.

It is here because the subject is PLAY’S. The Mall lists four sets in the whole line, and the other two are -01 and -02, the Magic pair, both now showing and released late January 2027. So on what the Mall shows, these are the first in the line to take their subject from the digital game — a delisted set would not appear there, which is the limit of that check.

Announcement and timing: the paper account , three posts from 19:38 JST on 30 October, which say the reveal happened on a live stream and that pre-orders open around 20:00 that day. There is no page for either set on the PLAY’S news index, checked 31 October.
